October Spotlight: Lovern Gordon

Passion and ambition to create a social impact exudes from Lovern Gordon, Founder and President of the Love Life Now Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence and funds for local area shelters. Lovern’s unparalleled drive originates from her own experiences with violence, beginning as a child witnessing her father very openly abuse her mother, and culminating in an abusive relationship which landed her in a hospital emergency room and caused her to reach her breaking point. These experiences had a profound impact on Lovern, and when she was chosen as the winner of the Mrs. Ethnic World International Pageant, she chose to use this opportunity to speak out about her journey.
